In the modern world, support workers who can fix PC's and networks, and give constant assistance to users, are indispensable in every part of the workplace. The world's need for such qualified and commercially astute individuals is constantly growing, as industry becomes vastly more computer dependent.

Sometimes men and women are under the impression that the state educational track is the right way even now. So why is commercial certification slowly and steadily replacing it? As we require increasingly more effective technological know-how, the IT sector has had to move to specific, honed-in training that can only come from the vendors - for example companies such as CISCO, Adobe, Microsoft and CompTIA. Often this saves time and money for the student. Therefore an employer can identify exactly what they need and what certifications will be suitable to deal with those needs.

It's likely that you've always enjoyed practical work - the 'hands-on' individual. Typically, the unfortunate chore of reading reference guides is something you'll make yourself do if you have to, but it's not ideal. Check out video-based multimedia instruction if books just don't do it for you. If we're able to involve all our senses in the learning process, then we often see hugely increased memory retention as a result.

Interactive audio-visual materials featuring instructor demo's and practice lab's will forever turn you away from traditional book study. And they're far more fun. Be sure to get a study material demo' from your training provider. The materials should incorporate expert-led demonstrations, slideshows and virtual practice lab's for your new skills.

Some companies only have access to training that is purely available online; while you can get away with this much of the time, imagine the problems if you lose your internet access or you get intermittent problems and speed issues. A safer solution is the provision of DVD or CD discs which don't suffer from these broadband issues.
